“People Will Never Forget How You Made Them Feel.”

Last week, I went to my cousin’s home to pick up a wall hanging that she wanted to give me. The wall hanging was in the TV room. I was so excited about getting an unexpected gift and so focused on remembering my cousin’s instructions on how to retrieve the item, I did not realise the television was on, which meant that someone was in there watching telly.

Two steps into the room and I realised Zach, Cousin’s 7 year old boy, was nestled on the couch eyes previously glued to the screen, but then on me, temporarily startled by my intrusion.

“Oh, hi Zach, I didn’t realise someone was in here. I’m sorry I barged in without knocking.”

And then …

“Hi Kate. That’s okay. You can barge in anytime.”

Bowled over, I leaped onto the couch and nearly crushed Zach with a hug for his generous spirit.

“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said,

People will forget what you did,

But people will never forget how you made them feel.”

~ Maya Angelou

  1. Hi Kate ! Just dropping by to say Happy Easter ! May this Easter Sunday inspire you to new hope, happiness, prosperity and abundance, all received through God’s divine grace.
You have touched the hearts of many people and I am sure, they will never forget how you made them feel.

    • >Hi Kate !
      – Mabuhay Elvie!

      >Just dropping by to say Happy Easter !
      – Thank you! Hope you and your lovely family had an enjoyable Easter celebration.

      >May this Easter Sunday inspire you to new hope, happiness, prosperity and abundance, all received through God’s divine grace.
      – Part of the grace I received included not craving my favourite foodstuff (desserts and pork preparations) that I abstained from during Lent. Although I sailed through Lent without any cravings and I didn’t begin to fantasise about them on Holy Saturday as I have done in the past, I did dive right in on Sunday. I thought I’d last longer, but meh, I’m human. 😉

      >You have touched the hearts of many people and I am sure, they will never forget how you made them feel.
      – I try. It ain’t easy saying things in a kind manner when blunt comes more easily to me. 😦

I know the kiddies in your neighbourhood would have enjoyed all the goodies that you and your stepmommy put together with love and care till the wee hours of Easter morn. And of course, the baskets of treats were safe only because Cupid and Twinkle guarded them fiercely. ❤
